The Family Funeral Plan at MBS Advisors is designed to provide comprehensive coverage and support for you and your loved ones during difficult times. Here’s a summary of key features and benefits:
Compliance Department:
If you have any concerns regarding agent compliance with Policy Protection Rules, please contact our Compliance Office at 086 123 5664. We are committed to ensuring that all policies are handled with integrity and in accordance with regulations.
Replacement of Policies:
We advise against policy replacements as they may involve duplication of initial costs charged to the policy. If replacement is necessary, a Replacement Policy Advice Record should be completed by the advisor of new business.
Cooling-off Cancellation:
You have the right to cancel your policy within 31 days of receiving the documentation. Written cancellation is required, and any premiums paid (less policy provisions) will be refunded, and your policy will be canceled.
Premium Analysis:
The monthly premium includes all commissions, fees, and administration charges allowed by legislation. Detailed breakdowns of these amounts are available upon request for transparency
Other Conditions:
Our Family Funeral Plan ensures that your family receives the necessary support and assistance during challenging times.
Our Family Funeral Plan covers immediate family members, including the policyholder, their spouse, and up to six children in whom they have an insurable interest. Extended family members may not be included in the plan, but they can be covered under separate policies tailored to their individual needs.
If the funeral location is more than 150 km away from the deceased's home, our Family Funeral Plan provides transportation assistance and covers up to R500 per person (maximum R2,000) for up to four immediate family members attending the funeral. This benefit ensures that your family can attend the funeral without financial burden, allowing you to focus on honoring your loved one's memory.
In the event of the policyholder's passing before the premiums are fully paid, any outstanding premiums at the time of death will be deducted from the benefit provided by the policy. This ensures that the policyholder's family still receives the financial support intended by the plan, even if the premiums were not fully paid at the time of death.
