At MBS Advisors, we offer an Individual Funeral Plan tailored to provide comprehensive coverage and support during challenging times. Here’s a summary of key features and benefits:
Compliance Department:
Should you have any concerns regarding compliance with Policy Protection Rules, our Compliance Office is available for assistance. Contact us at 086 123 5664 to address any issues promptly.
Replacement of Policies:
We advise against policy replacements due to potential duplication of initial costs. If a replacement is necessary, a Replacement Policy Advise Record should be completed by the advisor of new business.
Cooling-off Cancellation:
You have the right to cancel your policy within 31 days of receiving the documentation. Written cancellation ensures a refund of any paid premiums (less policy provisions) and the cancellation of your policy.
Premium Analysis:
The monthly premium includes all commissions, fees, and administration charges allowed by legislation. Detailed breakdowns are available upon request for transparency.
Other Conditions:
- Outstanding premiums at the time of death will be deducted from the benefit.
- Benefits apply in the event of suicide if the policyholder has been fully paid up for at least 12 months.
- Policyholders have the right to view the master policy for additional information.
Terms and Conditions: Repatriation
- Transportation assistance is provided for funerals between 50 km and 150 km from home, covering travel arrangements and up to R100 per person (maximum R400) for four immediate family members.
- For funerals over 150 km away, we cover up to R500 per person (maximum R2,000) for the same number of family members.
- Benefits become effective after payment of the second premium and must be coordinated through our call center.
- While we strive to monitor service providers, responsibility for any incidents during service provision lies with the provider.
Assured Life Transportation Benefit:
In the unfortunate event of the assured life’s passing, we arrange and cover costs for transportation back to the place of residence within South Africa, up to R20,000. This benefit excludes self-inflicted injuries.
